Aliens: Colonial Marines udsat

For "#¤ da.

"I am thrilled to announce the definitive launch date for Aliens: Colonial Marines.", siger Randy Pitchford fra Gearbox Software. Spillet kommer til at ramme hylderne d. 12. februar 2013 på både PS3, Xbox360 og PC. Udgivelsesdatoen på Wii U bliver annonceret senere. "Aliens: Colonial Marines is the culmination of a life-time of inspiration from the films and relentless passion and drive from the exceptionally talented development team behind the scenes."

For "#¤'s sake. Another game has been delayed until 2013! This time it's Gearbox Software's coming game based on the popular Science Fiction films, Aliens: Colonial Marines. Though this isn't the game that I am most looking forward to by Gearbox Software (ahem, Borderlands 2), it still saddens me to see another title being delayed. But at the same time they did manage to give the game a release date.

"I am thrilled to announce the definitive launch date for Aliens: Colonial Marines.", says Randy Pitchford, President of Gearbox Software. The game will be launched on February 12. 2013 on both the PS3, Xbox360 and PC, and the release date for Wii U will be announced at another time.  "Aliens: Colonial Marines is the culmination of a life-time of inspiration from the films and relentless passion and drive from the exceptionally talented development team behind the scenes." There is no doubt that Gearbox Software is very passionate about this release and it will be interesting to try it out once I'm done with Borderlands 2! You can check out the trailer for the game above and see if it'll be a game for you!

Tomb Raider udsat

"Our priority now is to make sure we fully deliver the very highest quality game. In order to do this, we have decided to move the game's release date by a few months, from Fall 2012 to the first quarter of 2013", siger Darrell Gallagher, lederen af Crystal Dynamics.

So it happened again! Yet another game just got the ill word, 'delayed', slapped on it like a wet towel, and this time it's another one of those few games that I am absolutely looking forward to: Tomb Raider, developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. The game was meant to give Lara Croft the reboot that she certainly deserves, but Square Enix has just announced that the rebirth will be delayed until 2013. What could cause this? The same thing that made Ken Levine from Irrational Games postpone Bioshock Infinite: quality.

"Our priority now is to make sure we fully deliver the very highest quality game. In order to do this, we have decided to move the game's release date by a few months, from Fall 2012 to the first quarter of 2013", says Darrell Gallagher, head of Crystal Dynamics. The game was originally supposed to be released in the fall of 2012 but then again it will be a tough fall. Besides Activision's annual monster, Call of Duty, there is another game that might just be released in the fall as well. Rockstar Games presents... Grand Theft Auto V. The competition will be tough! It will be interesting to see if there's more games that will be delayed until next year, so the question is: what next?

Om dette siger han, at "When we announced the release date of BioShock Infinite in March, we felt pretty good about the timing. Since then, we’ve uncovered opportunities to make Infinite into something even more extraordinary. Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need to deliver the best Infinite possible, we’ve decided to move the game’s release to February."

It has happened! The unthinkable! Irrational Games has just used the dirty word, 'delayed', about one of the games that I cannot wait for: Bioshock Infinite! News of this sort is met with tears and heartbreak but I trust that Ken Levine has his reasons to do this!

About the delay he says: "When we announced the release date of BioShock Infinite in March, we felt pretty good about the timing. Since then, we’ve uncovered opportunities to make Infinite into something even more extraordinary. Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need to deliver the best Infinite possible, we’ve decided to move the game’s release to February." We have to be a little bit more patient but we can look forward to a spring that will hold an absolutely unforgettable experience! Bioshock Infinte, you will remain in my thoughts.
